Celebrate Advent with Old Town Community Church

A Note from Pastor Phil:

Dear OTCC Friends,

Advent Greetings! The season of Advent gives us the opportunity to prepare our hearts to welcome once again Jesus into the center of our lives. The word “Advent” is from the Latin word adventus which simply means “coming” or “arrival.” During Advent we not only look back in celebration of the first coming of Jesus, but we also look ahead in hope and preparation for his return.

Our Advent message series this year is titled Unto Us. At the heart of the Advent/Christmas season is the profound reality that God became flesh and walked among us. It is most fitting that that we find this theme, Unto Us, in both the Old (Isaiah 9:6) and New (Luke 2:11) Testaments. Throughout this season we will celebrate how Jesus brings us the priceless gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love. I hope you will join us each week in worship and for the other special events this season.

Unto Us,
