Children’s Ministry at Old Town Community Church
Old Town Kids is our children’s ministry for children age 0 through 5th grade — and their families! Here, children learn about Jesus and grow in faith while developing meaningful relationships with peers and teachers. There’s something for everyone! From Sunday mornings to mid-week and weekend activities, all families are invited to get connected and be a part of the Old Town Kids community!
Learning Together
On Sunday mornings we have classes for children ages 0 through 5th grade. The classes are designed to meet children where they are developmentally and spiritually. Children will learn more about God and the Bible through hands-on lessons taught by dedicated teachers. Class time includes lots of play, conversation, and special activities relating to the lesson, like crafts and games.
Being Together
We believe ministry goes beyond Sunday mornings and, often, beyond the walls of our church building. From summer play groups and Easter egg hunts to gathering in local parks and opportunities to serve our community, you’ll find the families of Old Town Kids getting together to grow in relationships with one another. Serving Together
Our church community is very service-oriented, and our children’s ministry seeks out ways to foster a love of service in kids by providing developmentally-appropriate opportunities to serve our community and love our neighbors. One of our favorite ways to help kids love service is with opportunities to get in the kitchen and make casseroles that are served at our Open Table breakfast ministry.
Growing Together
Caring for kids includes caring for the people raising them! Feel supported as a caregiver and connect with other adults through table groups, family events, and our Old Town Kids Facebook group. Families come in many shapes and sizes, and your family is welcome here. Come and join us!
Sunday Mornings
Join us at 11 a.m. for classes for children during our worship service!
We have classes for children from age 0 through 5th grade. Children will learn about God’s love for them through Bible stories and creative play.
When you arrive, our greeters will direct you to our children’s area, where you can check your child in with our secure check-in process. If your child is not ready to attend a class, they are welcome to join you for our service. We also have a room for families to use during the service if they would like a quiet space to feed, change a diaper, etc.
Serve with Old Town Kids
Volunteer in an Old Town Kids classroom: Sign up to help in our nursery, preschool, or elementary classrooms! Connect with children and help them grow in knowledge of God’s deep love for them and relationship with Jesus. Once you complete our sign-up form, we’ll contact you for a background check and training information.
