With affordable workspace, nonprofits can do more good
The purpose of The Common Good is to be a hub through which nonprofit organizations can find support, synergy, and community for their mission in an affordable office/co-working space in Old Town Alexandria.
Our congregation has commited to dedicating a portion of our facility to serve as a community center that would be a blessing to our neighbors and friends. Over the last few years, we have focused on developing a co-working/office space in which nonprofit organizations in our city and region can find affordable office space and a creative community of collaboration.
In providing affordable office space and giving individual nonprofits an opportunity to share basic office services such as a copier, receptionist, internet access, etc., more of their administrative overhead can be invested in their organization’s mission. Only God can take empty rooms made of brick and mortar and turn them into a valuable resource for The Common Good of our city and region. Thus, we have named this exciting project The Common Good.
